The cord-like, duster-style coat in sleek, shiny leather is also beautiful. Its gradient began as deep reds and fiery shades of oranges. Moving towards, the earthy browns and forest greens at the hem secures the chic look. However, these embellishments show the story through with the rich luminous teal-blue around the shoulders and lapels.
Painterly Design & Fluid Silhouette
Designers executed a painterly blend of colors that made the coat look so voluminous and gave the feel of wonderful motion on the Designer’s stage. The stylists/makers of this coat wanted to ensure that the fluid silhouette was emphasized. So to that end, they designed with wide notched lapels. And a long straight sleeve and they avoided any visible closures. This was considered important, so as not to distract away from the overall look of the coat, of which I was appreciative.
Bold Lining & Luxurious Finish
When styling this coat, Rita decided to open the coat to really highlight the bold contrast lining of the coat; a bright solid red that produced an unexpected pop of color. Rita wears the coat styling it over a sheer, top over embellished pants. Overall, the glaring wet-look leather finish really evoked a sense of luxury and a high-impact edge to the complete look of the ensemble.
